We check in about 1 month before the tour to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details or requests or anything else we should know about your time in Sitka.

It's finally here! The day of your tour! I can meet you at the cruise ship dock or in town. Just know we're excited to share the day exploring Sitka with you. It's going to be awesome. I will make sure you have plenty of time to board your ship at the end of the tour.
Tour prices are per person and do not include entry fees for additional excursions or gratuity. We also collect 6% City of Sitka sales tax on all tour sales.

Absolutely! That is the beauty of a custom tour. Most attractions in Sitka allow for walk-up admission, so we can customize on-the-go. While admission fees to additional activities isn't included in our tour price, we'll happily customize your itinerary to incorporate them, ensuring a truly personalized tour.
Nope! Sitka is in a temperate rain forest and we do get 100" of annual precipitation each year. Its likely that you may have a light rain on your tour. Our recommendation? Be prepared for anything! Sitka Sound is notorious for its quick weather changes. You could experience sunshine, rain, or chilly temperatures all in one day. Here's what to wear to stay comfortable:
Layers are key: Start with a breathable, moisture-wicking base layer like merino wool or synthetic fabric.
Insulate (optional): Depending on the forecast, add a mid-layer like a fleece jacket or sweater for extra warmth.
Outer shell: A lightweight, breathable rain jacket made from Gore-Tex or similar material is essential.
Top it off: Don't forget a hat for warmth and sun/rain protection.
What to avoid? Ditch the denim and ponchos: Jeans get heavy and uncomfortable when wet, and rain ponchos trap heat, making you sweaty. No flip-flops or open-toed shoes.

We are family friendly, however, youth under the age of 8 must be secured in a booster seat or car seat per Alaska law. I do have 1 booster seat available for use upon request, but infant or toddler car seats will need to be rented. Check out Sitka Baby Rentals (sitkababyrentals.com) for baby equipment rentals if needed.
We drive a Chevrolet Suburban for this tour. It is very comfortable, but does require the guest to be able to make one small step up onto our mobility step and then another step onto the running board to get into the passenger seat. We do not offer ADA facilities for the tour, but are happy to modify any activity or move at your pace.
